Ryougi Shiki Doesn’t Laugh: Character Design

So upon hearing oh so wonderful things about Kara no Kyoukai, one’s first reaction is to look it up, and be greeted with Shiki’s image. Disregarding everything that makes the character great, the design, as is the case with many of Takeuchi/Ufotable’s Type-Moon art, is immediately visually striking, drawing you in immediately. But what is it exactly that makes this design work so well?

The JoGenius of Diamond is Unbreakable: Bizarre Mundanity

Despite incessant opinions that each Jojo part is the same thing once you get past the tangible details, each Part has always delivered differences, especially in themes. Rogue One – A Star Wars Story is… OK

It’s here! It’s finally here! It’s the story of how the Death Star plans were stolen!

Spoilers. It blew up.

I agree with some of these things.

Others, not so much. I’ve given it about a week, and I need to throw my 2 cents into the wishing well. Read More

On the Blog

So, I’ve somewhat made it to the big leagues. My stuff has actually been seen by people whose stuff I actually respect, which is terrifying in its own ways. I’m even more scared of online people than I am of actual people, but still! I’m happy that anyone gives enough of a crap to read this, and is very humbling. Read More
